Klaus M. Kellermann-Seyppel is part of a family of artists. His great-grandfather, C. M. Seyppel, was one of the painters of the renowned Düsseldorf School of Arts. Hans Seyppel, one of the latter sons, became famous for his impressionistic paintings of Niederrhein landscapes.
After a medical career as children neurologist, Klaus M. Kellermann-Seyppel started his artistic education in 1980 in Cologne, Germany. One of his teachers was Wilhelm Gorré. He also attended a two years training at the School of Arts in Zurich, Switzerland. Since 2001 he has been working independently in his studios in Männedorf and in Hombrechtikon, Switzerland. Klaus M. Kellermann-Seyppel is the president of a circle of artists called Künstlerkreis PORTA in Switzerland.
